Flugel Sue Wilton (but playing Timps/percussion for the 2012 Area contest!) Previous bands: RAF Volunteer Band, RAF Bruggen, Germany, the Terry John Big Band, and the Commonwealth Brass Quintet. Also a member of Boobs & Brass Age started playing: 12, with Rushden Windmill Band (it was Rushden Temperance Band then) playing with them up to the age of 19 when I joined the Army. After leaving the Army, moving back to Rushden (why did I do that - I lived near the sea before!) and having my daughter, Jodie, now aged 22, I didn't play again until around 1997, when I first joined the Rushden Town Band. I had another few years stint with Rushden Windmill Band, during which I took up playing the timpani drums, returning again to playing cornet a couple of years ago, and to Rushden Town Band, who have proved to be a great support to me in the recent past.
