Kevin Wadsworth:

Introduction: Loose opening – but picks up quickly. Nice flow quavers play well. Nice sop – well balanced. Good & stable playing. Good balance in ensemble, enjoyable sounds. Flug ok. Cornet & horn links well. Control in all parts is good. Flug just fluff a shade (298)
Transformation:  Fairly secure, cornet good. Euph nice sound. 326/7 good!
Meditation:  All going well – nice tranquil horn sounds. Euph sings well – just an odd click – Sop so secure, well done! Bariton & flug excellent, very nice cornet style & sound
Apotheosis: Not overdone – good, excellent use of dynamics
This is a very good band. Molto allarg – good. Maestoso works well. Good shape
Vivace:  Much to savour & enjoy
Marred by insecurities of individuals only. Balance/tuning/style & interpretation by MD excellent
Well played

Chris Davies:

Introduction: a steady tempo – but dynamic is adhered to 17-81 never overblown (thank you!) details is all there
Scherzo: nice transition – 122 bass intonation is suspect. Balance and playful character is fine. All lilts along well
Transformation: effective dynamic and intonation is sound throughout. Just be careful the chorale doesn’t become lumpy.
Meditation: nice warm feel following good trom work 327. Soloists a little brittle at 339 – 353 - 359. Intonation is on the whole still good.
Apotheosis: nice control of dynamics/tempo and balance. 446 bold statement. 520 good robust tempo. The tempos are well throughout from 520 and a tidy end.
A performance with much to commend. Support from percussion was never obtrusive always balanced. A musical and well prepared performance with much to admire. Thank you.
